27 million people in Spain now fully vaccinated

The vaccination roll-out across Spain continues steadily and there are now more than 27 million people fully vaccinated in the country.

Between them, the 17 autonomous regions have administered a total of 56,795,869 vaccines, 609,268 of them during the last weekend.

This brings the total number of people in Spain who are fully vaccinated to 27,262,062, with 328,215 vaccinated within the latest 24-hour reporting period, representing 57.5 percent of the Spanish population and 64.7 per cent of those aged over 12.

In total, 42 million people in Spain over the age of 12 will be vaccinated.

A total of 32,169,472 people have received at least one dose, 67.8 percent of the population.

Nearly 19 million of those with full immunity have been vaccinated using the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine (18,557,019), 2.2 million with Moderna, 4.5 million with AstraZeneca and 1.8 million with Janssen.

By age, the breakdown amongst those who are fully vaccinated is as follows:


Over 80: 100 per cent


70-79: 98.1 per cent


60-69: 90.9 per cent


50-59: 87.9 per cent


40-49: 76.7 per cent


30-39: 38.5 per cent


20-29: 17.7 per cent


12-19: 3.2 per cent

Breakdown of those who have received at least one dose by age:


Over 80: 100 per cent


70-79: 99.0 per cent


60-69: 96.6 per cent


50-59: 91.8 per cent


40-49: 83.0 per cent


30-39: 66.5 per cent


20-29: 49.8 per cent


12-19: 14.1 per cent
